Looking for location of William McElwee and wife Janet who lived 30 miles south of Petersburg in what is now Greensville County between 1758 and 1765. Their first three children were born here: James (1758), William (1762) and John Calvin (b. 1765. Can find no records of them in old Brunswick County, the portion now of Greensville County.
