thanks, Buck, for the reply. I joined up with ancestry.com and now have gone back to the father and mother of John R Taylor who was born about 1820. His fathers name is John R Taylor and his mother was Marrgaretha Collins but that is as far as I can get. Can you direct me from there? Thanks again for the reply.
