Cidney Jane WALTON was the sister of Elizabeth WALTON (both of Greensville County, VA).
Elizabeth WALTON married Howell ROWELL in Greensville County, VA. After their son Albert Henry ROWELL was born, they moved to Lowndes County, AL where their daughter, Catherine ROWELL was born. Catherine ROWELL grew up and married Edmund WEBB who was older than her. I think Edmund's father (or grandfather) may have been Micajah WEBB.
Cidney Jane Walton and her husband are both buried in Roxanna, Lee County, AL. My gggg-grandparents, Howell Rowell and Elizabeth WALTON are buriend in the same cemetery near them. The cemetery is located across from an old Methodist church.
I know they are definitely related to your family line. Edmund WEBB and Catherine ROWELL are both buried in Roxanna, Lee County (used to be Tallapoosa County), AL in an old abandonded grave yard in the woods. I have photos of their graves somewhere. When I visited the graves again this past January, the graves had been vandalized, and a company was starting construction on new houses next to the grave yard in the woods.
Please contact me if you have any questions. I would love to share information with you. I am trying to find information on Howell ROWELL and Elizabeth WALTON's parents in Greensville or Brunswick County, VA.
P.S. I believe Charles WEBB, who was about the same age as Howell ROWELL, may have been the member of the family who moved to new areas before the rest of the relations moved out to join him. Charles WEBB appears on census records in the same neighborhoods that the rest of the family members show up on shortly afterwoods.
If I remember correctly, Charles WEBB was about the same age as Howell ROWELL who was born in 1795. Charles WEBB showed up first in AL, then again later in TX just before my ggg-grandfather (Albert Henry ROWELL who was the oldest son of Howell ROWELL), moved to TX around 1865.
