I saw your posting and wonder if Harmon was any relation (possibly a brother) to Howell ROWELL (born 1795 in Greensville County, VA. Howell ROWELL married Elizabeth WALTON around 1821.
I have noticed on a lot of my records that both Howell ROWELL and Harmon ROWELL show up in the same areas. I believe they were both in the War of 1812 in the same unit.
However, I do not know who their parents were. If I remember correctly, I believe Eleanor ROWELL may have been Howell ROWELL's grandmother acording to land records I came across.
