Hi Jim,
I just read your earlier querry on Miles Freeman who married Margaret HUDSON.
My missing Freemans are the sons of Benjamin Freeman (ca.1769-ca.1834) and John Freeman (1780-after 1840).
There is a marriage bond for John F. dated 9 Oct 1798 in Mecklenburg Co., VA; his wife is Lucy HUDSON!
The 1820 census has for John 2 boys and 2 girls. The 1820 census for Benjamin gives 5 boys and 2 girls. Benjamin's wife was Mary ROBERTS. In 1839 John's wife is "Betsy". I assume that Lucy died and John remarried.
It was Benjamin & John's sister, Jane H. FREEMAN, who married Leroy BRUMMITT. Other siblings married TOONE, CUNNINGHAM, and NICHOLSON.
