Hi! I am descended from Jerome (Jeremiah) Dumas, a Huguenot immigrant who arrived in Virginia in 1700 and settled in Manakintown, a Huguenot settlement West of Richmond (I believe there is still a church on the site). A lot of research has been done on his descendants, most notably by John Wilson of Texas, who published a couple of books (I do not have them). There has also been a lot of speculation about the ancestry of Jerome Dumas' wife, Unity [Smith]. I think you can find a lot of information on www.dumas.com. Tom Watson
