I am trying to trace my Clements ancestry and I am stuck on Christopher Columbus Clements who lived most of his life in Clementsville, Jackson (Cook) County, TN and had many children I am searching for the parents of Christopher Columbus Clements b 1791. Father's name possibly James, John or Benjamin. Mother's name possibly Elizabeth. From 1840, 1850, and 1860 Jackson County TN Census data, I have discovered that James and Elizabeth Clemens lived near Christopher in TN and that they are 60-70 years of age in 1840; 74 years of age in 1850; and 85 years of age in 1860. It shows that they were both born in VA. I assume that they were born around 1776 in VA and might be his parents because they stay so close to him geographically for so long.
