After the marriage of William Lee of Northumberland (son of Kendall Lee and Betty Heale) to Jane/Jean Payne of Goochland in St. James Northam Parish (marriage date sometimes transcribed as 1780 and 1789)(daughter of Col. John Payne and Jean/Jane Smith, the widow Chichester), the couple sold the Lee family estate of Ditchley. WHERE did they live and raise their family? Who were their children? I have undocumented information and I am trying to verify/document my connection to this family. Does anyone know of documentation for any of this family beginning the period immediately following their marriage?
