Hi! My father and I are coming up there the week of May 22nd to do research on our Ellis family. My husband works for Hampton Inn & Suites/Hilton, but the hotel I wanted to stay at is sold out. I have three other areas to look at, and was wondering if one might be better than the others. I haven't lived in Richmond since 1995, so I have no idea which property would be the best to stay at if we will be spending the majority of our time in Goochland. The three areas are Mechanicsville, Airport and Chester. Chester seems to be the furthest mile-wise, but it looks like it may be a quicker driving route as I can hop on 288 going west. Any help would be much appreciated! I am really looking forward to visiting Goochland! Thanks! Shari Eichler
