Posted by Georgia Clark Thanks for the response. Were your relatives Catholic? Mine were. My great grandmother and her husband settled in St. Louis ca 1872-1873. The only person I have ever found related to her in St. Louis was her sister Bridget. Seems as if most of her children's godparents were neighbors rather than relatives from what I have been able to determine. One of the odd things was when one of her daughters died and when her second husband died, the death notices said New York papers please copy. So, I am assuming that she may have had relatives there.
