I do have an ancestor named Thomas Wells who lived in Henrico County VA H e married 1/ Grace and then 2/ Mary c1680. Not much to go on but his daughter Anne married Robert Clarke from Isle of WIght County before 1685. You might check with the Wells Associatioin as it is most active.
