On 23 April 1782, John Stow placed a claim for reimbursement for supplying beef to the Revolutionary cause in Dinwiddie County. This is documented in "Virginia Revolutionary 'Publick' Cause", by Abercrombie and Slatten. There is reason to believe that the Stowe and Wells families intermarried. If anyone has any information regarding the union of these two families, I would be eternally grateful to get it!
