Patricia, The only thing I know about William Crowder is that he probably died before 1838 as his father-in -law, Charles Clay (wife Rhoda) mentions William Crowder decd. in his will probated that year. I know he married Jane Clay only because it is mentioned in a deed from Jane and Armistead Crowder to Benjamin Poland, Jane's son-inlaw. She had at least 2 children by Wm. Crowder, Armistead and Malvina (Poland) and there is at least one more son Henry J. P. Crowder who may have been from a prior wife. I will appreciate any help you can give me. Ray Bradshaw
