My greatgrandfather #4 was Samuel Malone.
He is listed as a mulatto by ancestry.com.
He was born in Dinwiddie in 1800. I do know he was a slave until 1821. After being freed, he went to Orange County North Carolina and married Emily Strayhorn. He had a brother named John who was born in Dinwiddie in 1789. Other than this I have no info regarding what plantation he came from or who his parents were.
