Virginia Gazette and General Advertiser (Davis),
Richmond, March 18, 1795.
TEN DOLLARS REWARD. RUNAWAY from the subscriber, the 5th inst. a likely negro fellow named EDMUND, about twenty-three or twenty four years of age, of a yellowish complexion, about five feet eight or nine inches high, well set, stout legs, strong and active, had on a blue cloth coat very much worn green kersey overalls, and commonly wore a pair of boot legs. As he has lived in Richmond some time ago, I expect he may be lurking about there. Whoever will take up the said negro, and confine him in jail so that I get him shall have five dollars reward, besides what the law allows; and if brought home in Dinwiddie county, near Petersburg, shall have the above reward, and reasonable expences paid by me WILLIAM CONWAY, jun. March 14th, 1795.
