Susan: I don't recall your 1st email but am so pleased to receive this message. I've been researching Bartine Slater, born in 1813 in Sussex County, NJ for many years. Many of his family members remained there but he migrated to VA & was there during the Civil War. I have a few burials in the Bethel United Church Cemetery and the White Marsh Methodist Church Cemetery. I would like to know where Bartine and his wife, Mary, are buried but have not found them. From what child of James Bartine was your mother descended? I'm looking forward to hearing from you again and learning about anything that might be added to my research. Madge (Hazlett) Johns
