I am trying to locate family and background information on my great-grandfather Rev. Collatinus Mason of Dinwiddie/Petersburg, VA. I know that he received his Young Minister's Liscence at First Baptist Church, Petersburg in 1868, but thus far cannot locate where he came from before that date.
