Hi, I am investigating a Perdue Family listed in the 1840 Census in Charles City VA--William N Perdue is listed with several males in his household and one female. I have a suspicion that this William could be the father of William Perdue born 1833 marrying and Elizabeth Rust in Ohio in 1852. The N initial is what makes me think this could be an ancestro because William (married to Rust) named his eldest son Nelson. The Perdue branch has been cold for us for a while so I hope there are some folks out there that have done some Perdue research. Thanks, Julie
