Posted by Netti Schreiner-Yantis I just looked at a map of the area and at the intersection of #95 and #35 -- near Jones Hole Creek. The tract William Stainback owned that I am interested in is a different tract. It was near the mouth of Bayly Creek on the south side. I have to assume, since it was one of the very first patents taken up in the area, that it was a prime location. I am planning to go to the courthouse in Pr Geo County this summer and I will make it one of my prime objectives to see that early map! Do you live in or near Pr Geo County? Do you know where "High Peak" is, or was? If I could just get one of the early grants established, it would help a lot. Netti

Thank you very much for responding to my question concerning the location of the land William Stainback owned which had been granted to William Bayly about 1620.
