Bernard Major's son John Major b 1740s d 1810 in Charles City Co., VA and is well documented with papers from his family papers deposited at the Williamsburg Foundation, Charles City Co., VA records and the will of Bernard Major d 1777. James Major's son John Major is mentioned as a legatee in the 1793 final probate of his James Major's estate. This John Major is found marrying Rebecca Chandler in Pittsylvania Co., VA in the 1769/71 time period. The Chandler family, Major family and in-laws move to Wilkes Co., NC 1778-1783. After 1794 the Major, Chandler and in-laws are all found in Newberry Co., SC. If anyone knows a living Major family descendant from this group of Major families please contact Herb_316@MSN.com.
