Looking for missing links: “John Byasse”, no age given, who arrived in Virginia in 1711. (Nugent: Cavaliers and Pioneers, Abstracts of Virginia Land Patents and Grants, Vol. 3: 1695 – 1732, p. 1) He was one of 50 persons imported to settle on a parcel of land in the County of Charles City containing 2,491 acres in the upper parts of New Kent Country on the southern side of the Pamunkey River.
