Kippax was the name of the plantation Robert Bolling I establlished in the area of Cedar Level Road in Hopewell. It was in the area of 1000 Bland Avenue, I think. It was a land grant he was given along with one of the Randolph's. Robert I came to Virginia from London, England in 1665, was about 14 years old. Married Jane Rolfe (granddaughter of Pocahontas) 1675. They had one child 1676 and Jane died the same year. He received the land grant 1681 and married Ann Stith 1682.
