Catherine, I looked when I was stationed in the area. There is nothing left of Bon Accord as such. However,the area is not overly developed, it's pretty much swamp and farm land. You can find and see the area on google maps. From Virginia locate Petersburg and follow Hwy 10, James River Drive, east until it joins State road 609 from the south at Garysville. Just past Raggen Ln is a depression which is Powell Creek.Bon Accord lay on both sides of HWY10 at this point. South of the funny shaped lake is Birchen Swamp. There is a marker on HWY 10 that marks Powells Creek. Hope this helps, and you enjoy the search. Let me know if I can help in any other way. Donna
