Hello Cindy! You are the first "official" Samuel Moody, son of Thomas and Ann Moody that I have heard from. I don't have any record that our Thomas lived in Jamestown. He did live in nearby Weyanoke Parish, Charles City County, Virginia. I do see from my records that he is listed as one of several individual who received a parcel of land patented at James City, Virginia 16 Sept. 1663. Samuel wasn't of age then but his step father Francis Redford, who was his guardian, had an order (for land) issued at James City, Virginia. This information is from Virginia Land Patents, Vol. 7, page 656. You can also find information listed in Tidewater Virginia Families, Vol. 6, No. 1, May/June issue 1997 starting on page 6.
