Thanks so much for your response. I suppose it is likely there were more than one Nathaniel Maynard's about this time. The information that I have on the one that I am researching says that he was born @ 1760 in Charles City Co., VA, and he served as a corporal in the Revolution. He married Elizabeth Matthews on Dec. 21, 1789 in Charles City Co. They had four sons; Nicholas, John, Thomas and Cornelius. I have no information on Nathaniel's parents.
