I have traced my ancestors back to Charles City Co., Va. The earliest that I could date back to was somewhere around 1675, when John Huckaby and son Thomas Huckaby were reported to have came over from England with Captain Wm. Byrd, as headrights. I later found that Thomas Huckaby was Sheriff in Charles City Co. Does anyone know where there may be any history to help?
