I am searching for documentation of the places in Virginia my gggg grandmother, Ann Winston Shelton , daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Winston, was living after the the death of her father in 1758 and a marriage record for her to a Shelton man sometime before 1779 when she has my ggg grandfather, Richard Shelton in Louisa County, Virginia.
Christopher James was appointed a guardian for Ann Winston at the death of her father in 1758 in New Kent, VA. Our research would indicate he could be living in Williamsburg about this time. The will of Samuel Winston was witnessed by the following in New Kent County , Virginia in 1758: David Gentry, Moses Gentry, Waddy Thomson and Charles Cosby.
Can someone help me with Christopher James resdience if in Williamsburg?
We believe Ann Winston Shelton had remarried after the death of the Shelton man to a Mr. Glenn and would appreciate help with this info.
