I'm not sure there is a connection, however, did Jones Gill have sons: Bolling, Anthony and Jones A. Gill? Jones A. Gill, born August 13, 1801 in Charles City County and died there on Christmas day 1855. He was one of my Great, great Grandfathers. He married Sarah D. Hughes and they had 15 children including my Great Grandfather Andrew Norman Gill, born in 1836.
Unfortunately, Jones A. Gill is as far back as I can currently go. It would be a phenomenal conincidence if your Jones Gill was his father. Please let me know.
