Bernard Major who died in 1777 in Charles City Co., VA is my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. His grandson, Bernard Major III, died 1826, and his granddaughter, Sarah West, had a son, William Major West, born on Christmas day in 1806. WMWest was later sheriff of Surry Co. VA and lived at "Shady Grove" in the county. If you will email me I will put you in touch with relatives who can give you more information. Rowland L Matteson
