years ago with a man from Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada who had visited Nova Scotia. Many families of Amherstburg have roots from Charles City County as does the founding family of their Black Historical Museum--Max and Betty Simpson. Your introductory information supports what I have been told 100%. My interest in the Jones family is two-fold. We share the same Black-Indian ancestry and migration patterns into Canada. The Jones family who had a member named Lloyd Jones was our family "Griot" chronicalling as much history as he could during his 60 years. One of his last efforts was to approach the Virginia Chickahominey Tribe for family membership rights. This was problematic as I have heard the stories. But with the recent 2005 Thomasia Jordan Bill, Federal recognition may spark a more inclusive approach to membership of Black/Red mixed Indians like my American and Canadian family members, who today, number more than 10,000 in Ontario alone. This is my goal...to have the Canadians and Americans included and recognized. Mr. Jones, can you tell me anything about the "Bradby-Braveboy-Brabrant Indians" who are mentioned in the Federal Bill history? I have been told that these are my ancestors who tie me directly to the current Chief Marvin Bradby and to this Historic Tribe. Specifically, Mr. Jones, my family groups are represented by the names: Bradby, Miles, Wallace-Razarro, Richardson, Jefferson, Allen, Stewart, and Cook. Some are Chickahominey while others are Lumbee, Objibwa, Mattapony, or Pamunkey Indians. Any information related to any of these family groups is welcome and most appreciated! Thank You Again for the new links and websites for these Black Loyalists and the introduction to the Black History of Nova Scotia. I will definitely followup in the next week.
Kindest Regards, as you Continue the Journey back
