I am researching the descendants of Col. Bridges Freeman (1603-ca. 1658) who had extensive land holdings in James City & Charles City Counties in the mid-17th century. According to Garland Hopkins Freeman Forbears (1942) his sons wer Bridges, Jr., Henry and James. Hopkins offered no proof for this assertion. Does anyone know of a contemporary 17th centurywill, deed or other document that gives the children of Co. Freeman?
