Posted by Tosca Mary Blundell at age 70 appears in the 1860 census with Roda A. 32, John 16, Charles 12, Laura 10, Patsey 8, Mildred 5, and Thomas 2. I have seen that Rhoda Ann at some time married Stephen Childress. Can anyone help me with Mary's husband's name (maybe Thomas) and any more information about Rhoda Ann? Does the courthouse have marriage records that far back? I would appreciate any leads. Thank you.

Polly Blundle appears in the 1840 census-perhaps she is Mary since Polly is a common nickname for Mary. She's 50-60, with 1 male and 1 female 20-30, 2 females 15-20, and 1 female 5-10. Mary Polly would have been about 50 and Rhoda about 2. There were certainly other children. The 20-30 male and female could have been a son and daughter-in-law and Rhoda their child, or Mary was 48 when she was born, certainly possible.
