The "Buckingham Moores" that I see in my files started with a Benjamin Moore (much of my information was supplied by other researchers). Benjamin and his unknown wife apparently had sons named Capt. Robert J. Moore (who married Jane Perkins Moseley; she was born 12 Feb 1810), Henry Moore and William Moore. Robert J. Moore and his wife Jane had Adeline Sarah Jane Moore, and she married Leroy Oglesby Davidson on 14 Mar 1828. Leroy was a son of Rev. Samuel and Frances (Oglesby) Davidson (died 1861 in Appomattox Co., VA). The Reverend Davidson apparently lived in the part of Campbell Co., VA that became Appomattox Co., VA in 1845 (one post states that he was the minister of Red Oak Baptist Church for about 50 years). Leroy and his family left VA, and he is said to be buried in Christian Co., KY. Leroy's wife Adeline is said to be buried in Jackson, MS (Greenwood Cemetery).
