Hi! I am looking for information and/or family connections to James Cox who was born in 1755 in Buckingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Matthew Cox. He was a Rev. War soldier, serving in James Crockett's Regiment from the Virginia State Line. He moved to Cabell County, (West) Virginia in 1803 with his family. His wife for a number of years, including when he died, was Elizabeth. I believe that he had at least the following children: William, Elizabeth, Polly, and Nancy. There may have been more. I would like to know of any references that might have information regarding this James. James died in 1840 in Cabell County. Thank you!
