Anthony HOGGATT, b. 28 Sep 1749, Buckingham Co., VA, d. 27 Sep, 1818, Adams Co., MS. His son Nathaniel m. 1808 in Adams Co. my kin Charlotte Smith. Apparently several HOGGATTs migrated to Adams Co. James HOGGATT was the father of Ann Witlock HOGGATT, b. about 1800. There is a probate in Adams Co., 1814, for a Nathanial HOGGATT, for which Anthony was a witness. I am unable to connect these three men or learn anything about their origins, except for the fact of Anthony's birthplace. Though members of the HOGGATT family have been prominent in Natchez, Adams Co., for almost 200 years, I can find no genealogy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. E. W. Prichard
