I am looking for information on Charles Staton as well. He and his father John first appear in Kentucky history in 1790 when they assist in the formation of Marshall County, They came from Caldwell county to Marshall. We believe John came from Buckingham VA. Charles' son Joseph L Staton was born i 1798 in Livingston Co ( then called Christian) kentucky. Joseph's son Joseph P Staton is my husbands great grand father. If you have any information connecting our Charles to John Rane Staton I would appreciate your help. Thanks.
