I am trying to find the parents of John Allen (or Alan) Watson, b ca 1797 in Buckingham Co VA, md Sara (or Sally) Howard (or Herrod), b ca 1792 in Buckingham Co VA. Both died in California in the 1870's.
George Watson and Mary Wilkerson could be John's parents, but I have no link.
In the 1820 census of Buckingham Co there a Wilkerson Watson, along with George E (but he may be the George E b 1789 d 1871). In the 1830 census there is William and a George, who I believe are brothers and served in the Rev War. William strted Slate River Farm, and is buried in the Watson-Perrow cemetary on Gunters Mountain in Appomattox Co (Buckingham Co until 1845). My source for this iunformation, Robert L Watson, died in 2006. He had no further information about his George.
