I believe that the father of John Guerrant Norvell was William Norvell (b 1778 -d 1848) in Buckinghamn Virginia who married Sally Guerrant.
William is believed to be the son of Thomas Norvell who married Nancy Nightengale Young. His father was Hugh Norvell Jr, son of Capt Hugh Norvell of Williamsburg.
