There were at least three possibly unrelated Davidson families in Buckingham between 1761 when the county was created from Albemarle Co., VA and 1859 (and beyond) when my Davidson family moved there from Cumberland Co., VA. The Farmville Herald (Prince Edward Co., VA) covered activities in Buckingham. I am unaware of a separate newspaper just for Buckingham until 1929 (The Buckingham News), but I have not researched that too well. I believe that old editions of the Farmville Herald are available to the public at the library at Longwood University in Farmville.
