Ref. previous message. In the book BRUNSWICK CO., VA. 1720-1975 revised by Gaye Neale, with material by H.L. Mitchell and Wm. Pritchet is there any reference to the Brunswick Militia circa 1795 in which there is mentioned that Samuel Hopkins was made a major general by the Brunswick militia?
