Benjamin Turner Phipps lived in Brunswick County and may have been a mattoon (artilleryman) at Valley Forge. His ancestors lived in the family house that was on a roadway to North Carolina into the twentyth century. I understand the house has fallen by now. He may have had descendents also named Benjamin Turner and William. A grandson, Benjamin Turner, moved to Moorseville, Mississippi (near Tupalo) and married a Tennessee girl there.
