Just a update on our family, James Cook was born 1770 not 1759. death date the same, He did indeed marry Elizabeth Johnson, in Granville Co Nc, in 1792, HIs father John Cook was from Va, but moved with his father, and brothers, Abel, William, Thomas, to a area, Called Townfork, which is listed in Rowan< Surry Co Nc, If any one has any info on this line please let me know> Betty
