Hi, John--I have a Mary TAYLOR of nearby Granville Co NC who m. 1779 John BRODIE. But the info I have does not appear to connect with yours. But, I found the following reference on TAYLOR'S that may also be helpful for you:
Film No 1266693 LDS FHLibrary Salt Lake City: this has data on Taylor Family Line from Pennington Castle, Carlisle, England 1500's to Newport News VA 1600's to Granville NC 1800's & other locales. You could probably access it via interlibrary loan from your nearest LDS FHLibrary.
