My 6 x Gr-Grand Father was Attorney, John Scott, Sr., from Andrews Parish, Brunswick, Virginia. We have hit a brick wall, trying to find out who his wife was. Their children were: Robert, married Rachel Burton,--John Scott, Jr., who married Dicey Moon,--William Scott who married Rebecca Brown,--Mary Scott who married a McFarland,--Catherine Scott who married The Rev. Hugh McAden,--Jean Scott who married Samuel Cunningham,--A Scott daughter who married David Logan, probably Gr-Grandson of The mayor, David Logan of William Penn's Colony. (They came from Philadelphia down to Cubs Creek, Va., in 1736.) John Scott and family lived on the Southside of The Meherrin River, in Brunswick, Va. John Scott, Sr., died 1781-82 in Caswell Co. N.C. John Scott, Sr., had a sister, Jane Scott who married a James Cunningham.(Cunninghams also came down to Cub's Creek, Va., with the Caldwells, etc.) We would love to find out who John Sr's wife was.
