Posted by John Thomas I need any information on Frances Willis (1690-6/10/1727) who married Anne Rich (1696-9/22/1719) I need to confirm the Willis line as outlined and confirm that he was the same Willis who enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Mecklenburg County. I have his detailed war records. Any help would be appreciated. John Thomas

I need any help with John Carver (1669-12/11/1696) whose child Sarah Carver (1/5/1695-3/17/1726) married Augustine Warne Smith and they had Mildred Smith who married John Willis (1719-1/26/1769) in 1743, Mary Smith who married Robert Slaughter, John Smith who married Mary Jaquelin and Sarah Smith. This was in St. Andrew's Parish in Brunswick County.
(father Edward Rich) and the children were: John Willis (1719-1?26/1769) married Mildred Smith (her father was Augustine Smith and the mother was Sarah Carver) and Frances Willis who married Elizabeth Carter, and several other mentioned in the will. John Willis and Mildred Smith had: John Willis (1749-1816), Augustine Willis married Mary Hayes, Sarah Willis married Hugh Hayes, Frances Willis, Richard Willis, Lewis Willis and Elizabeth Willis. They lived at Beddingfield Hall and the elder Willis was a burgess from 1752 to 1755.
