There were at least three John Walls of Brunswick Co. The older "Col." John Wall, John Wall, Jr. (his son), and another John Wall who I think was a not-too-distant relative.
I am a descendant of Col. John Wall and his son, and did quite a bit of research on this family some time ago, which is documented in a Micrsoft Word file. The file also touches on the other John Wall. Write to me privately if you would like me to send you my file.
I'm sure that all of these Walls came to Brunswick Co. from Surry County.
