I am currently trying to ascertain who the parents of Tyre or Tyree B. Jackson were. He was born Ca. 1806 and married to a Julia Cheely 23 June 1828. They had 3 chilren;Cornelia Helen, John Edward(My Great-Great Grandfather), and William Andrew. Tyre remarried to Martha W. Tucker 12 Oct.1840. This marriage produced 4 children; Ashton A., George T., Thomas Branch, and Alice A.
The five Jackson brothers all served in the Civil War together. John E. and William A. were in C Co. 12th Va. Inf. Regt. C.S.A. Ashton A., George T. and Lt. Thomas Branch Jackson were all with C Co. 3rd Va. Inf. Regt. C.S.A.
