Hello everyone,
I am searching for information on the parents of a Joseph Upchurch born 1774.
I know that John Upchurch III (born abt 1747) and Anne Hamilton (born abt 1750) had Samuel Upchurch in Brunswick County, VA. September 11, 1772.
I believe that my Joseph was his brother born 3 years later. I would like to find information to prove or disprove this theory.
I think they still would have been there at the time he was born and I find it hard to believe they only had one son as this was very rare then with families being so large.
I would like to find any other births to John Upchurch, John and Anne, etc.
I read that there may be some 1790 census records that are being reconstructed... if that is so that might contain the info I am seeking as well as birth records.
Any info, help, ideas, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much,
