Our male Bakers have taken the Y chromosome (DNA) test and have been found to be related to the Humphrey Baker, Orange Group from England. Martin BAKER lived in Surry Co. before moving to Brunswick ca 1755-65. His name can be found in the Brunswick C. of Eng. vestry records as having done repairs on the glebe (rectory). But his name appears nowhere else that we can find. Later he moved to Halifax Co., and finally to Garrard Co., KY. He raised his children in Brunswick.
