I am researching my Hood line. John Hood was born in Amelia Co. Va. 1759, he was the son of William Hood. He moved Wilkes Co. Ga. unk when, and was married there to Rebecca Reeves in 1785. My 4th gggrandmother was a Nancy Hood b. 1 May 1785 in Sussex Co. Va. She married John C.McGee in Columbia Co. Ga. in 1814. Nancy was alledgely related to the John Hood family, However, I can not place her with any Hood family. I need help in finding her parents. John and Rebecca Hood did have a daughter named Nancy also but she was married to a John Crain and had children by him well into the 1800"s. I feel that some Hood family there in Amelioa or Sussex Co. Va. is the parents of this Nancy. Any help or referrals would be greatly appreciated.
